The radio edit of this song is significantly shorter than the version that appears on the album (which is 19:35), but the alternate version is over six minutes longer than the album version.

The video for The Diamond Sea was directed by Spike Jonze, Lance Bangs, Dave Markey, Steve Paine, and Angus Wall. The video compiles live footage from their headlining tour dates on the 1995 Lollapalooza tour.
