Blues Brothers: The Definitive Collection is a compilation album of songs by The Blues Brothers, released in 1992 by Atlantic Records. All twenty of the tracks from the album had been originally released by Atlantic between 1978 and 1981 as part of various Blues Brothers singles and albums.
It includes several of the band's singles:[1]
- Soul Man (Atlantic 3545, released November 21, 1978)
- Rubber Biscuit (Atlantic 3564, released February 16, 1979)
- Hey Bartender/(I Got Everything I Need) Almost (Atlantic 3576, released May 3, 1979)
- Everyboy Needs Somebody to Love/Sweet Home Chicago (Atlantic 3758, released July 31, 1980)
- Who's Making Love (Atlantic 3785, released on December 3, 1980)
- From the Bottom/Going back to Miami (Atlantic 3802, released on February 4, 1981)

The first seventeen of the tracks were recorded live at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles; the remaining three were recorded at Universal Recording in Chicago[1]

- Tracks 1-7 & 17 were originally released in 1978 on Briefcase Full of Blues
- Tracks 8-13 were originally released in 1980 on Made in America
- Tracks 14 & 16-20 were originally released in 1980 as part of the soundtrack for The Blues Brothers movie
- Track 15 was originally released in 1981 on Best of the Blues Brothers
