The Concept of the Political

The Concept of the Political is a work by German philosopher and jurist, Carl Schmitt. The work examines the fundamental nature of the "political" and it's present place in the modern world. It was first published in 1927, while Germany was governed by the Weimer Republic. In 1932, with the Nazi ascension to power imminent, Schmitt published a second edition, with significant, and controversial, revisions.
