The Colours Match

The Colours Match is an annual rugby union match played between arch rivals University College, Dublin and Trinity College, Dublin. It is one of the highlights of the Irish Rugby calendar and regularly attracts big crowds, most matches are either played at Donnybrook or Lansdowne Road.

The Colours Match was inaugurated in 1952 with the first title taken by University College, Dublin.

University College Dublin are the current holders having beaten Trinity College, Dublin 50 points to 20 on the 6th of March 2008 in Donnybrook in the 56th match.
