The Clubfooted Grocer by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a nineteenth century short story about a man who went to help his wealthy uncle who was once a grocer who also traded in jewellery and expensive artefacts. The narrator doesn’t know why he is called to help his uncle until he arrives and finds that his uncle is under server threat of death from someone who wants something that was sold to the uncle.
