[edit] Show format

The show is usually split into three author segments. Authors tend to call in, because of geographic or time constraints. However, authors have also appeared in studio to promote their work. Shows tend to be thematic in nature, e.g., Young Adult, Love and Money, Earth Day, etc. Guests are booked, based on how well their work fits the theme of the show. If available, a three-minute Author Spotlight may run during the show. During the segment Wendy's World, the hosts discuss the latest deals and trends in the publishing world. The hosts also explore Washington DC-area programs and events in the segment About Town.
