The Black Commentator

The Black Commentator is an online weekly publication based in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. The Black Commentator debuted in April 2002 and is published by journalist Peter Gamble. It reflects on political and cultural issues through an engagement with African-Americanism, with special concentration on issues of social and economic justice and peace.

The Black Commentator features an Editorial Board, along with Columnists and Guest Commentators, drawn from a pool of influential black scholars and thinkers. These contributors include public affairs consultant Maya Rockeymoore, theologian Rev. Irene Monroe, prisoners' rights advocate David A. Love, and NAACP board chairman Julian Bond.
