The Best of What's Around is a song from the Dave Matthews Band album Under the Table and Dreaming. Though never released as a single, it is still a very popular song among the DMB fanbase and was included on their compilation album of the same name.

The lyrics are some of Dave Matthews' most straightforward. The song is essentially about "making do with what you have".

"See you and me...

Have a better time than most can dream...

Have it better than the most...

So we can pull on through...

Whatever tears at us...

Whatever holds us down...

And if nothing can be done...

We make the best of what's around..."
