Allied Powers was a short-lived professional wrestling tag team in World Wrestling Federation that consisted of Lex Luger and The British Bulldog for eight months in 1995.

[edit] Starting up
The tag team of Lex Luger and The British Bulldog was formed on January 2, 1995 edition of Monday Night RAW when they both defeated the team of Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka during Luger's feud with Ted DiBiase and the Million Dollar Corporation.[1] The team was later dubbed Allied Powers bringing USA and UK together.[2]
[edit] World Tag Team Title Shot
Allied Powers got a good impact over the tag team division. The duo defeated Blu Brothers, a team of Jacob Blu and Eli Blu in the opening match of WrestleMania XI.[3] The team started a feud with Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation and the new World Tag Team Champions Owen Hart and Yokozuna. They received a shot at Hart and Yokozuna's World Tag Team Championship at In Your House 2 but the team lost when Yokozuna pinned Luger following a Leg drop.[4]

The first signs of the ending of Allied Powers were on August 21 edition of RAW when Luger and Bulldog were scheduled to take on Men on a Mission. Luger couldn't perform in the match due to a family emergency so Bulldog asked then WWF Champion Diesel to become his partner for only one night[1] because Diesel was feuding with King Mabel because they had to face each other at SummerSlam for Diesel's WWF title.[5] During the match, Bulldog turned heel after attacking Diesel and Luger didn't know.[2] When Luger returned back just a few days before SummerSlam, Bulldog turned on him also breaking up Allied Powers and joined James E. Cornette's Camp Cornette stable.[2] With no long term contract Luger jumped from WWF to WCW appearing on the first episode of Monday Nitro on the September 4, 1995 thus ending the Allied Powers.
