The Africa Channel is an American English language Television channel that features programming from Africa. It is intended to give viewers a taste of the best English-language programming from the African continent. Programming includes: News, documentaries, music, series, specials, feature films, music, cultural programs and more.
The African Channel is independently owned and operated and it launched on September 2005. In August 2007, a UK version of the channel was launched and it is currently available on Sky Digital. [1]
One of the key investors of The Africa Channel is well-known NBA player Dikembe Mutombo, who is of Congolese decent.
