The Acorn Gathering

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Acorn Gathering: Writers Uniting Against Cancer (ISBN 0595227880, published May 2002) is a collection of short stories, dealing with a variety of themes, such as friendship, marriage, prejudice, Native American culture, weight loss, 9/11, and (of course) cancer. Settings include Texas, Montana’s Blackfeet Nation, and New York City. All royalties from The Acorn Gathering go to the American Cancer Society. However, the authors and editor of the book stress that they merely wanted to help with that cause, and that the American Cancer Society neither endorsed nor sponsored their project.
