TheBigDay is an American-based provider of honeymoon registry and travel services. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon. TheBigDay has been described as the preeminent honeymoon registry company in the world with over 50,000 customers from over 130 countries (The Globe and Mail, June 5, 2006).
In addition to the online honeymoon registry, TheBigDay offers consultation with travel specialists for Hawaii, the Caribbean, Tahiti, Fiji, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Africa, the Seychelles, the Maldives, Mauritius, Ireland, Italy, Greece, France, Australia, New Zealand, and southeast Asia. For most destinations, TheBigDay offers online travel booking as well. Other honeymoon and wedding related services offered include engagement ring and wedding ring buying guides; etiquette advice; wedding websites; online destination travel guides; destination wedding assistance.
In 2008, TheBigDay launched regional wedding vendor directories, with user reviews of the vendors from brides and grooms.
TheBigDay is a privately held corporation, founded in 2001 by Terry Beard and Michael Cottam.
