Thelma Houston is an extremely great talent. We grew up together in Long Beach; we are ALL so proud of her. YOU GO THELMA!

Thelma Houston's Daughter Kim was my walking partner at graduation from Wilson High School in Long Beach, California in 1978.
Hi Kim!!

I lived across the street from Thelma until about a year ago. That woman is amazing! She is working on creating her own fashion line. She did some of the re-modeling work on her house by herself. She's artistic in so many ways. She is also very real and very kind. A number of times, I watched her take in her elderly neighbor's garbage cans when she didn't know anyone was looking. Miss you, Thelma! It was great having you as a neighbor!

Her hit single "Don't Leave Me This Way" used the same musicans as those on Diana Ross' "Love Hangover." This is a prime example of why the song proved so popular as it reminded everyone of the song upon which is was based.
