[edit] The Beatles' miscellanea

Check The Beatles' miscellanea to see if there is anything in it you can use. A lot of 'miscellanea' needs to be trimmed (as linked articles are improved) so please feel free to use anything before certain sections get zapped into the ether... ThE bEaTLeS aka andreasegde 16:30, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SatanicMLP.jpg

Image:SatanicMLP.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:11, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] what about John Paul Jones

"...playing keyboards or bass guitar for artists including the Rolling Stones on Their Satanic Majesties Request (it's Jones' string arrangement which is heard on "She's A Rainbow")." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Paul_Jones_%28musician%29

Amongst Stones fans too young to have bought "Their Satanic Majesties Request" upon release, the album has a much better reputation. Keith Richards hates the album to this day; however, it was Bill Wyman's favorite, and Mick Jagger seems to have joined in the general reappraisal of the album.

Could somebody please give details of when the original release was (uk and usa). If the original recording was in Mono or Stereo and subsequent reissues. Also, we would like to know how to identify these different releases. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Otis66Driftwood (talkcontribs) 15:09, 20 November 2007 UTC

To answer some of your questions: John Paul Jones is already mentioned in the track listing. The album was originally released on 8 December 1967 (UK) and 9 December 1967 (US) and was mono – subsequent releases were stereo. Regarding identifying the different releases, this site may help you. --Bruce1ee 08:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Beatles, you say?

According to this article, some or all of the Beatles performed backing vocals on She's a Rainbow... but on that song's article, it says that this is just a rumor. Which is it?--Teiladnam (talk) 15:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
