I chose the Wave between that and the Ripstik. The only difference between the two is that the Ripstik has a longer torsion bar and smaller boards.

I disagree, I think the ripstik is of higher quality. While some consider it a "rip off", and it may be. I have to make an exeption and go with the rippoff. Many times I've seen something new come out and then there are lot's of cheap immitations. But in this case I think it's an improvement rather than just a copy-cat product. I was looking to buy a ripstick and stumbled across the wave. I almost bought the wave right then, and I'm glad now that I didn't. I didn't know anything about which one came out first or that there was a debate about it. At the time I was thinking that the wave was a crappy ripoff of the ironically named Ripstick! I didn't buy it (the wave) because it seemed cheaper and less durable. Also I didn't like the shorter torsion bar seperator thingy. I think the longer one on the ripstick has a couple advantages. For one, the center separation acts as a handhold which I find very convenient. Also you can use your foot to toss it up and catch it, (I don't like bending over). As well as being suitable for grinding. The separator on the ripstick has a relatively free rotating, heavy duty, rubberize, sheath. This allows you to grind on a curb or whatever without damaging the board. Whereas on the wave, grinding obviously wasn't a design consideration. Lastly, I think that the longer board seems better suited for an adult rider, as it offers better stability and a more efficient power stroke. So even though it's a ripoff, I like the ripstik way better.

this is a really hard choice to choose between a skateboared and a wave boared. but i think that the wave is the best!

is this the same thing as a caster board?

is this really easy to go up hills? I thought it was supposed to be harder than a skateboard.Combopizza 23:42, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

As I'm not familiar with it, I can't provide the necessary input. However, I do believe that apparel and safety equipment is worth mentioning, and it would be helpful if someone familiar with it could help.
