Talk:The Third Place
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Am I right in thinking that David Lynch directed the PS2 ads. This is worthy of comment if so...
Dr. Ray Oldenburg uses a coffee shop called "Third Place" in Raleigh, NC to motivate his idea of the Great Good Place. I recall his perspective is at least suggestively critical of the B&N and Starbucks' business model. He certainly does not invoke Starbucks as an example of the Third Place. The efforts to link both the concept to the corporation, as well as the corporation to the concept on their respective pages are misleading. The reference to 'starbuck's marketing' efforts in this vein is dubious. Unless the deliberately misleading wikipedia entry itself constitutes said marketing? ~Ryan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.143.218 (talk) 00:25, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
