This article was nominated for deletion on 2007-09-08. The result of the discussion was Keep.

This article was placed in the Wikipedia Intensive Care Unit during its recent AfD discussion. One or more editors felt that the subject was notable, but the article itself had major issues that might otherwise result in deletion. The ICU staff worked to fix those issues while the discussion was in progress, and the result of the AfD discussion was to keep. If you would like to help with articles under similar circumstances, consider joining the ICU staff.

The comments deleted were advertisements, devoid of the facts, including such as "it led a nationwide spark to open air markets", "it was the first official lifestyle center (what's that again?)", and "it is the most profitable store per square foot in the South". Advertisements are contradictory to wikipedia law. Thanks.

[edit] First lifestyle center

• There have been claims that "The Summit" was the first of the modern breed of lifestyle centers. That claim does not appear to be justified.
