Talk:The Spider

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an article on the Spider? You're having a laugh, aren't you. Yes, I could write a pages long article but it would not be wikified so would quickly be deleted, 'cos we all know the wiki people are too damned lazy to do anything themselves to tidy up articles.

I gave in and added a little basic information to the article as it was so poor.

[edit] Stan Lee admits the influence of the Spider

In the book Origins of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee states that he took the name of the Spider for his own character, Spider-Man. However, in his recollections of the Spider, Lee conflated the character with the Phantom, as Lee remembered the Spider leaving his seal on his foes whenever he punched them. In fact, the Spider left his seal on criminals after he had slain them; the Phantom left the imprint of his skull ring on foes he hit.
