Talk:The Space Island Project
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have seen the Merge tag, and am opposed to the merge and suggest that the tag be removed. At first glance, there may not seem to be much merit to a separate article on Space Island Group and The Space Island Project, but there are extenuating circumstances in this instance. Look at the topic Commercial space hotels, you will notice that there are two competing projects, the Space Islands Project and the Space Island Project. They are two completely different ventures, differing only in a plural/singular version of the word "Island". There should definitely be two topics to distinguish between the two ventures. There should probably be text in each article noting the difference. Separate from that is the question as to whether or not there should be an article on Space Island Group, which I think there definitely should be. The organization has personnel and projects that are outside of the scope of the Space Island Project. Without the plural/singular issue, I would say that the Space Island Project would be a sub-topic of the Space Island Group article. However, for sake of clarity, I think that each project needs a separate article.
