[edit] sentinel destroyed?

If I remember right,

but it ceases to transmit when the astronauts who discover it breach the forcefield.

isn't quite right, as rather it's that when they breach the force field (with atomic weapons, and some time after its discovery) they destroy the sentinel, which then obviously ceases to transmit. But it's been a while since I read the story, and I don't have a copy handy. Can anyone confirm? --BlackAndy (talk) 03:09, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
