[edit] Celine and Julie

Would it be worth mentioning that Jacques Rivette's film 'Celine and Julie go boating' is partly based on 'The Other House'? It contains a film-within-the-film where Celine and Julie repeatedly find themselves in a 'haunted' house, with the 'ghostly' characters enacting a plot culminating in the murder of a child. According to Rivette himself, this was inspired by James's novel, though the similarities are not close. It was watching the Rivette film that prompted me to read the book. Though I am a James admirer, I had never got round to this one, which is quite difficult to find.92.9.31.62 (talk) 14:30, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
