[edit] Star Wars References
There are a whack ton of Star Wars references in this episode. If you're reading this and just starting to watch the episode, PLEASE look for them, I'd love to see them on the page. I first noticed it when our two caballeros andantes walk into the round, shadowed room through a stone-like door that moves up and down (not classic Goa'uld design). The camera angle, their hesitation to enter the room, the lighting in the room, are all callbacks to Luke and Leia on the platform in the first Death Star. The running firefight to the gate for no apparent reason and Jack mugging for the enemy are callbacks to the escape from the Cloud City in the Falcon. I can't remember the Death Star jailbreak scene ("Aren't you a little short for a Storm Trooper?") well enough to say that the angled panel to the ceiling leading to the brig is analgous to the angled panel to the floor leading to the garbage smasher on the detention level. He is, in fact, a little short for a Jaffa. Finally, the presentation of the medals at the end...well... a classic homage to Episode 6. I have another thought about the series as a whole..."Piece of cake." is used in this episode. It is used throughout the series in inappropriate spots. More on that in a more appropriate forum. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The other guys (Stargate SG-1).jpg
Image:The other guys (Stargate SG-1).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
