[edit] Too Great to be True

That's all i have to say. It's backgroud, it's history, everything... I think this is one of the greatests movies of Jet Li. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.48.224.116 (talk • contribs)

I concur. Jet Li finally faces the only person good enough to fight him: himself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.111.229.61 (talk • contribs)

Indeed, one hella good movie.

[edit] Taoistic refferences?

It would be interesting to see at least some mention of the refferences to taoism fitted into the article, as the name "The one" itself, seems to be a vague refference to taoistic ideals, along with ideas of harmony and preservation between positive and negative (they could be reversed), and some notions including the protagonist winning in the end through a martial arts style that "flows" as opposed to Yu Law's direct confined style, focing action to occur. There's also quite a few yin yangs in the film... -Tiak 00:00, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MVA Personnel and Interdimensional Offenders really necessary?

This article is full of stuff about MVA Personnel and offenders, none of which is even mentioned in the film. I assume the information comes from DVD bonus features. The section takes up a lot of space, and uses trivial information which really isnt all that important. I find no reason to keep it here. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.250.114.226 (talk) 08:23, 30 April 2007 (UTC).

Not even the DVD. I remember reading that from the movie's website/

[edit] Good movie, but the article needs a major haircut

The impact of this movie on society is not worthy of more than a page or two of relevent details. If no one else does it, I'll be the barber.Landroo (talk) 14:40, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia?

Im a big fan of random movie trivia, and usually wiki helps in that department. Is the hospital the same hospital from Scrubs? I just noticed the side enterance when the laws are escaping looks like the same side enterance as in scrubs (where JD parks his scooter). Just a thought. Also has a cameo of Mark Borchardt of American Movie fame. ~Cryonix —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.22.7.189 (talk) 21:18, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The One poster.JPG

Image:The One poster.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
