This article incorrectly states that the "fallen" fighter had to be taken to the neutral corner to give him an eight count if he got up. This does not make sense and is the opposite of the real rule. A fallen fighter would hardly be dragged to his feet and carried to a neutral corner so he could be held up for an eight count. The true rule, newly enacted, was that the fighter who scored the knockdown was required to retire to a neutral courner, i.e. one in which neither fighter's corner team was located, and required to wait there until the fallen fighter either was counted out by a ten-count or got up in time to beat the count and was able to continue.
