[edit] Gypsy Ketchup

Why does it say Las Ketchup is a Gypsy group? There's no reference on their page.

[edit] Satanic Ketchup

This page is linked on the page on Allegations of Satanism in popular culture! Can anyone work out why?! Pennywisepeter 12:47, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I have no idea, but the logical start is playing it backwards. -Litefantastic 16:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Because for hardcore christians in South America, (not sure about Spain though), everything that is popular must be satanic. So they said Aserejé was actually a demonic chant. Or whatever.--User:Revoish 20:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cosby Ketchup

The English version sound like Bill Cosby's Pokemon rant in The Simpsons... 201.239.183.124 05:57, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gibberish

Just to be sure, "Aserejé" isn't a Spanish word but as meaningless as "hippityhop" in English? Maikel (talk) 07:56, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

I have tagged this article for cleanup.

  • the article doesn't distinguish between the Spanish ("Aserejé") and English versions; for example the description of the song's "plot" refers to the Spanish version
  • the article claims that the chorus "Aserejé ja de jé de jebe" is a transliteration of the chorus of "Rapper's Delight" ("I said a hip hop the hippie the hippie") although this is patently untrue (e. g. because there is phonetic equivalent for "hip hop")

I'd do it myself but my Spanish isn't good enough for me to grasp the finer points of the Spanish original. Thanks. Maikel (talk) 08:21, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Las ketchup.jpg

Image:Las ketchup.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
