[edit] Deletion reccomendation

Would it be acceptable to rewrite the article with a more factual tone? The Hush Sound is growing in popularity and it would be a shame to see this article go. Yavoh 21:45, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't think the entire article should be deleted and rewritten; the article should be rewritten in certain areas and formatted to a typical WikiProject Musicians page.--I Are Scientists 23:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Doing What I Can

I've helped change some of the wording, to make the article sound more professional. I'll see what I can do about giving the band some extra citation.

[edit] Usful Links

Can somebody please try to contact the Hush Sound and ask them things about their band and it's members we haven't found out yet? You can do it through their myspace page where it says "send message" (I'd do it myself, but I'm not a member of myspace becuase it's not compatable with my computer [no idea why]). I have a link to their myspace page-http://www.myspace.com/thehushsound If that doesn't work, we should try to find another way to contact them.

--I've just found a great link! It is an interview with the Hush Sound. It is not really that new, but it still contains usefull information. Here it is_ http://www.whatevershow.com/player.aspx?aid=29227&bw=

[edit] Question about Bob and Greta...

Are they a couple? Just curiouss.... I think the article is great, by the way. It perfectly highlights how big they've gotten and how fast they've grown.

answer: no.

Whether they are a couple or not, I think we should put more information about the type of music Bob likes in his article (I've noticed that it says what kind of music Greta likes in her article, but not in Bob's). Actually, it doesn't say much about any of them in their articles. That should be fixed.

[edit] Style

Is it just me or does this article read more like a magazine bio than an encyclopedia? I think even just removing some of the headings (the very beginning, acquisition of new members, etc.) would make for a more "professional" page. Thoughts?

The article is poorly cited and written and requires much cleaning up to be a valid source of information. I've correct some minor grammatical mistakes and helped format some sections to comply with Wiki standards, but someone with a great knowledge of the group and their history must go through and find citations for many of the claims made in the article. --Sententia 05:01, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Indie"

The band is a part of the Decaydance label, which is home to well-known artists like Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, and The Academy Is.... Also, as far as I know, the band does not record and publish their work without the help of hired producers. My point is, it seems to me that The Hush Sound doesn't seem to fit with the (Wikipedia) definition of Indie music, and I want to suggest changing all genre mentions to "rock" or something of that nature. I figured I should ask here first. Thoughts? --The Experimental Film (talk) 23:37, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
