Salepo Island is not one of the Golden Isles, according to most sources. I'll try to find out. Bubba73 15:00, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Golden Isles and Golden Isles of Georgia

  • I agree with the merger, absolutely. I didn't know that the former article existed. If there are other "golden isles", the "of Georgia" should be retained. Bubba73 (talk), 17:27, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Replace Golden Isles with a redirect to this article until such another "golden isles" is encountered, at which point it would become a disamb. - Keith D. Tyler ΒΆ (AMA) 19:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've done it. The article needs to be polished, so I put a cleanup tag. Bubba73 (talk), 23:17, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I cleaned up the paragraphs and reordered a few things. If anyone feels like the tag should be removed, I'm fairly new so I don't know how this should be done. I'd appreciate any pointers in this area ;) Markleci 07:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
It probablt doesn't need the tag anymore. To remove it, simply edit the page and take it out. I changed "Simon's" back to "Simons", because that is the official name now. Bubba73 (talk), 20:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I live in the area and I agree that all of the islands should be in Wikipedia. However, I checked several sources and only those four islands are referred to as the "Golden Isles", and they are still called that. Maybe you could make an article "Barrier Islands of Georgia" and include all of them. Bubba73 (talk), 14:59, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
A Google search for "Golden Isles" AND "Georgia" gives 226,000 hits. Bubba73 (talk), 18:03, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
