[edit] Destination Mall?

What exactly is a destination mall? Technically speaking the Fashion Show Mall was the first mall on the strip, opening in 1981. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.22.217 (talk) 15:18, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I wondered too. I google'd and got this: "By definition, a destination mall is one that offers such a unique and attractive mix of lifestyle products, leisure and entertainment activities, that people are willing to travel a greater distance to shop, relax and be entertained there." http://www.nation.lk/2007/09/30/busi12.htm This is hardly a distinguishing definition (most major shopping malls would qualify), and the statement of being the "first" needs to be referenced regardless. Overall, this article is lacking references - I'm going to add appropriate tags. --SesameballTalk 01:29, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
