It wasn't the agent who 'ran' jericho that told the yanks that there was an informer. It was one of the scientists.

Also Terry Martin was not asked to take the photos to livermore- he did it off his own back. And if I may, this was a weak part of the otherwise brilliant book- the photos would already have been shown so many times already.
