[edit] Carlos Mencia

Yes, I know he's a hack. Yes I know he puts on a stage name to appear mexican even though he's Honduran and according Joe Rogan, he's half German. There is no reason to address that on this page. I assure you it's more than covered on Neds page. That said, the name "Ned Holness" is not notable. Nobody knows who the guy is by that name. Therefore I have changed his name to his stage name for that reason. If you must wax on this subject, take it up on this discussion page or got to his page when it isn't locked. Just in case you didn't catch where I'm coming from, Yes he's a douchebag! Yes he hacks! He even hacks known comics. In the years I've been a comic, I've seen him watch a comics act and then do parts of it the next night. One night at the La Jolla Comedy Store, I made a joke to him in the lobby and the bastard used it on stage that night. So you should be aware that I don't contest the validity of him being called a hack, it just doesn't belong in this article.Qabala 01:44, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Haunted?

Rumors exist that the Comedy Store is haunted. There are numerous Internet articles on this. Does anyone have or know the complete story, or if it would even be appropriate to post that information on this article. Any thoughts?

[edit] Haunted? YES

My experience of the Comedy Store from both performing and watching shows leads me to KNOW that the store has ghosts. On the stage in the back I saw a show that had been 9 clean acts followed by one very dirty one. The dirty act, and here is where the ghosts come in, was given the light. NOBODY was working the light. In fact, it was a NEON light. The neon border and body of the lady were not illuminated but the face, eyes and hair repeatedly flashed on and off-the universal signal to get off the stage. I confirmed that nobody was working the light, that was not the light used to take the comic offstage, and ~~ there is NO WAY to turn on HALF a Neon Light!! This was December 11, 2005-the first show to be performed since he died on DECEMBER 10, 2005. EEEErie ~Honest.

[edit] Suicide

I remember the suicide of a comic in the late 1970s. If it was the Steve L. mentioned in the article, I recall he killed himself by jumping off of the building -- a hotel -- nextdoor.--71.132.200.216 (talk) 09:29, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
