[edit] Is this article about the book or about the film?
Did the writer of this article actually read its subject?
Agreed. Obviously the author only saw the movie. The personalities of the characters are completely different, the Master is not named (as far as I can remember), and Kirby is actaully "The Hoover." It just goes to show, just because you've memorized the plot of Demi Moore's "Scarlet Letter" doesn't mean you've memorized Hawthorne's original book —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.215.221.128 (talk) 14:26, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Critique of anthropomorphism?
I remember reading somewhere that the book was intended as a reductio ad absurdam of Disney-style anthropomorphism, but that the movie basically played it straight and missed the entire point. If I can find a reference on that... 70.183.63.108 18:31, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
