Talk:The Blue Comet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed the "Blue Comet" link which linked to the "Comet (Passenger Car)" railroad article. These are two seperate things, the Blue Comet being a famous train from New York to Atlantic City (as stated by Bobby in the episode). The Comet Passenger Cars are they type of cars used TODAY by New Jersey Transit, nothing close to what Bobby was looking at. Jimzim66 05:23, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Two possible errors
1. It is definite that the house where the "cousins from Italy" killed the Ukranian father and daughter was Phil's goomah's house? Per HBO, it was Phil's "housekeeper". 2. Are we certain that the motorcyclist was run over? He crashed, yes, but I didn't see that he was run over. --CPAScott 15:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
The motorcyclist was most definitely run over.206.132.102.52 15:30, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
-yes he was run over but he shouldn't be listed as dead because there is no confirmation
No confirmation he died.
The house belonged to Phil's housekeeper/comare. Her father was visiting. The cousin thought the man was Phil and the woman was his daughter, who for some reason was at the comare's.
Has anyone figured out the significance of white in this episode?
1. Burt Gervasi has white loafers when Sil kills him at his home.
2. Sil polishes his own white loafers at the Bing before he is killed.
3. Bobbys assassins wear white shoes before they kill Bobby at the Train shoppe.
4. Tony is wearing white shoes as he is emptying his pool.
5. Paulie's white shoes are shown when he's kicking in the lock on the door facing the pool at the Soprano house.
I also noticed that Paulie wore white shoes in the two episodes in Season 2 where Christopher is shot and near death.
White signifies death, as in the poem A.J. had to read for homework in the episode where Liva dies. Meadows explains the meaning to him.
I removed Silvio Dante from the Deceased list.. he is alive, but in a coma. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.93.253 (talk) 00:29, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia
Why are trivia sections seemingly no longer allowed in Sopranos episode articles?
See WP:TRIVIA.--Nemonoman 03:33, 10 June 2007 (UTC) PS sign your messages.
- Have you actually read the trivia section? It does *not* forbid trivia, but it DOES counsel against just removing it.
My opinion on this is that if the trivial points are valid, they should be re-written to form a coherent rather than random section. Erasing them wholesale if they aren't original research or point-of-view, or unsourced, is the wrong way to go. Pablosecca 09:34, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Except most of the time these "trivia" sections descend into indiscriminate collections of information with individuals making the most tenous connections between other episodes or the actors or observations clearly founded on their own personal viewing experience. Unless the information is clearly sourced then it simply should not be there - and it's not hard to find sources considering the large plethora of reviews around the web from various legitimate sites. -
- Then edit the trivia section so that it doesn't become that, but don't just cut it out wholesale. And don't use so many adjectives please.
- If the trivia section becomes too bloated then chunks of it will need to be cut out; simple. It is down to the editor adding the information to source it. In addition, please sign your messages by placing four tildes at the end. Qjuad 22:08, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sopranosbluecomet.jpg
Image:Sopranosbluecomet.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
