Regarding the denomination's name: "Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America" had fallen into disuse in all but official documents by the mid-20th Century; however, it remains its official name. "The Episcopal Church" became its official alternate name in 1967 (not 1979). Although "Episcopal Church in the United States of America" is not an official name, it is used for practical purposes to differentiate it from the Scottish Episcopal Church and others. If it clarifies things I can reword the reference.Rockhopper10r 19:45, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
