Seriously, What the Hell is up with this story?

I really don't know. It's just odd, there is no way to really understand it that I can see.

The characters speak crazy and absurd because Ionesco wants to denounce everyday human relations who have actually nothing to say to each other, this is why they either describe with ridiculous details what they just did, make pointless philosophy, invent nonsensical fables and scream proverbs in madness at the end, in order to show that humans get really despaired about having anything to say.
