I just wanted to put in my vote in advance to NOT delete this page. NeilDespres 06:44, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't see any reason to delete it. I found it useful (having been just hit by the bot myself). Blade 16:18, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I second this, for similar reasons. (Glad to know what it is, I've been hit by it multiple times.) --TheSock 04:27, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I second this too... I actually see it as a biography (per the inclusion guidelines) of an online phenomenon. And I expect that over time, there will be more and more of this kind of thing. And having it documented here was such a relief! -akienm 02:03, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Turing test

I'm wondering: Does this bot technically pass the Turing test?  :-P --L33tminion | (talk) 23:41, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Actually, that might be more of a worthwhile question than I originally thought. A possible objection to the Turing test is that it may be difficult to see where the intelligence lies: Is the program itself intelligent, or is its apparently intelligent behavior just evidence of the intelligence of a human (usually the programmer). In one sense, this bot requisitions human intelligence "on the fly" so it can pass the Turing test with just a little trickery. --L33tminion | (talk) 23:53, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
