Pitfall: The Lost Expedition is an Action / Adventure game for the Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. It was released for every system except the PC by Activision on February 18, 2004. The PC version was released on October 15, 2004.

In the game Pitfall Harry the fearless treasure hunter returns. In Pitfall Harry's adventures, players encounter various enemies like scorpions, spiders, piranhas, and insects. Numerous abilities are at the player's disposal, such as a quick dash move and various combat maneuvers. Along with his sling and TNT there are various other weapons like the shield, and also various items to use as transportation like the raft. Harry will also find lost explorers that were on his plane when it crashed that will give him an idol when Harry saves them from their predicaments. They will give you gold idols, which are worth more than your regular silver idols that Harry will find in the average jungle on shining altars. There are various mini-games and vast landscapes including the "Heart of the Jungle", the "Native Territory", the "Snowy Mountain", the "Caverns", and various Ruins.

Also released at the time of the release were three mobile versions of the game: Pitfall: The Lost Expedition Caves, Pitfall: The Lost Expedition Glacier, and Pitfall: The Lost Expedition Jungle
