| Image title | Scylla Bay, Como Jannali Junior Rugby League Football Club, the club to the left, the hill to the right, Como Pub up above.
My brother Brett and I grew up playing footy for the "Mighty Moes" - our dad Pete was the Treasurer for many years - our grand final winning photos and his name are still up on the walls. The Como Angels we are called way back then - so many characters - from the Kenny Rosenthorns to the Porky Rogers. For local club games the hill is packed - visting football teams are intimidated by the vocal mass - loud and boistourous - mostly is good humor and the love of a beer and a good game of footy. I was told the entire vocal hill suddenly fell into deep silence and tears as word spread of our Dad's death. That's very humbling and brings a tear to your eye. |
