Alex Harvey Presents: The Loch Ness Monster was a spoken word album about The Loch Ness Monster. The album was never re-released on CD, and is extremely hard to find. The album was recorded in 1977, Alex Harvey had left The Sensational Alex Harvey Band for a short while to work on this project. The remaining four members of The Sensational Harvey Band recorded a studio album entitled Fourplay. The band was credited on the album as "SAHB (Without Alex)", after Alex Harvey had completed this project, he returned to The Sensational Alex Harvey Band to record, what would his final album with them, Rock Drill.
