Originated from Uttarpradesh, state present in India, got settled with all relatives in Maharashtra.

Original Surname of the family is "Shukla", but because they were following Lord Krishna - they got this surname from Peshwa, i.e. "Thakur" - Lord Krishna, "das" - Follower : 'Thakurdas' = Follower of Lord Krishna
