Talk:Thai general election, October 2006

This page is going to need moving.
http://economist.com/world/asia/displaystory.cfm?story_id=E1_SJNNJRN (dated 14 September 2006, sadly it's a subscription-only link) states that "this week the election was again postponed from its planned date of October 15th."
I presume it had better be moved to Forthcoming Thailand legislative election until there's a date given that might actually happen... Js farrar 22:13, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- The election has been delayed because of the need to choose a new Election Commission. The new commissioners have already been designated, but their appointment still awaits royal approval. Once they are formally installed, it will be up the new Election Commissioners to set a new date for the election - probably sometime late in November. Until there is a formal annoucement of a new election date, however, we should hold off on moving this article. Tettyan 03:28, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

- Nothing has been announced that can be confirmed that the elections have been cancelled yet, it's worth keeping the article for now until more acurate information crops up. The Fading Light 00:44, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Eventually it should be renamed Cancelled Thailand legislative election, October 2006. Adam 13:24, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
