The Texas State Aquarium is a nonprofit aquarium located in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is dedicated to promoting the Gulf of Mexico and conservation.

Texas State Aquarium has 4 dolphins: Shadow, Cobie, DJ and Kai. Shadow and Cobie came from the National Aquarium in Baltimore, while Kai and DJ came from Brookfield Zoo. Recently Cobie, died at the age of 15 from a lung illness.[3]

The newest addition to the Aquarium was the Hawn Wild Flight Theater, which honors the Hawn family for their long-standing commitment to the Aquarium's mission of wildlife education and conservation in South Texas. The theater was opened April 24, 2007.
