[edit] Comments from an area resident

Hi there, my name is Kelvin Reeves, I lived in Beebo, which is roughly 35 Km from Texas. Our family moved into the area in 1985 (from the Hunter Valley in New South Wales) and stayed there until 1990, when we moved to Brisbane. I attended Texas State School from Grade 2 to Grade 6. The school is located on Flemming Street. Our property was called "Dunoon", we had 1300 acres on which we grew a variety of crops and raised livestock. We were subject to a huge flood in April 1988, our house was on an island for 2 weeks, were had Brush Creek running right though our place.
