[edit] Spelling on Military slang

Thanks for making all those spelling corrections on Military slang. That's a page that needs intensive watching. That said, some of the changes you made were switches from British English to American English. The general rule on Wikipedia is that if there are two allowable spellings, we leave the original spelling alone. We do have a bias toward use of American English on pages about purely American topics and vice versa but on a mixed page or a page without a regional specification, the first usage is allowed to stand. Arguably, this page should be a hybrid since Military slang explicitly sources the usage of each item of slang - we should probably switch conventions line-by-line. Take some time to look through the Manual of Style when you have a chance. Thanks again and welcome to Wikipedia. Rossami (talk) 13:39, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
