Terepai Richmond

Terepai Richmond joined the Sydney-based Australian band The Whitlams in September 1999[1] and formerly played in Australian bands Directions in Groove (D.I.G.) and Multiball. Terepai is also the drummer for Sydney based reggae outfit 'King Tide', funk veterans 'Professor Groove and The Booty Affair' and numerous others. He is a session musician, regarded as one of the best drummers in Australia and has worked freelance for a number of other bands including Savage Garden and Hawksley Workman to name just a few.
Terepai is also a skilled surfer and was once titled "King of the Island" (Shark Island). He has featured in a number of surfing movies Life Like Liquid, Billabong, 2006 and can be caught surfing reefs like Voodoo and Shark Island in Cronulla. He was a team surfer for Mambo in the 1990's.
Terepai is the drummer for Missy Higgins and performed Where I Stood with Missy at the 2007 ARIA awards.
