North Goa comprises the coastal subdivisions of Bardez and Pernem as well as the inland ones of Bicholim and Sattari. Most tourist spots are concentrated around coastal Bardez.

Terekhol in located in the far north of Goa. The fort has been converted into a tourist hostel, maintained in excellent condition.
