Terdell Sands (born October 31, 1979 in Chattanooga, Tennessee) is an American football defensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Sands played high school football at Howard High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was a four-year letterman in football and basketball. In football, he was a three-time All-City and a three-time All-State selection.

Sands only played one year of college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.[1] During his only season he played he totaled 36 tackles, one sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

[edit] Kansas City Chiefs

Sands was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He did not play a single game for the Chiefs due to an injury and was allocated to the Berlin Thunder of the NFL Europe League for the 2002 season. The Chiefs released him on September 19, 2002.

After getting released from the Chiefs he was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad. After getting signed to the active roster he played one game for the Packers, before getting released.

On November 12, 2003 he signed with the Oakland Raiders.
