www.kilreaformayor.ca is a great site .. put up in June 2005

Totally worth a look : <a href="www.kilreaformayor.ca">KILREAFORMAYOR.CA</a>

Where did he get his 400 number - there's 10 000 riders a day in early 2005, so we are probably closer to the 12 000 to 15 000 passengers a day and with adding a link to the U of O, to Barrhaven (at about 80 000 by 2009) - Riverside South at about 15 to 20 thousands plus service to government buildings and the Rideau Centre and the Rideau Canal and the main tourist attractions the 12 to 15 000 may triple or quadruple or even more. So there is biased info in this site - the exponential growth in the South end justifies the expansion. And less flexibility - service will be a lot more frequent 5 to 10 minutes and much earlier and later services too.? And also there are plans for major employment areas in Barrhaven and Riverside South. Already, there is a major commercial area in the Greenbank/Strandherd which all but waiting for the Train to be built - the theather recently built will probably bring people from Riverside South to use the Train to go there. This O-Train project is extremely promising despite the high costs, but if we don't built it soon as possible it gonna a lot more in the future.

Also I saw also that according to him the Rideau Canal will be closed to the public for one year which is non-sense completly since it passes west of Dows Lake and at the northern end of the Canal (often closed to). So how that one would not skate at Landsdown Park because of the construction? Absolutely non-sense!

Althought I support the O-Train and public transit, we're not going the right way. By 2020, we'll need a subway system anyway. --Deenoe 00:23, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
