[edit] Inca agriculture
69.229.10.39 added some material[1] on May 16, 2006 regarding Inca agriculture. Several problems:
- The material was lifted, nearly intact, from here, without attribution
- Most of the plant and species names were changed from their correct names to bizarre, and completely incorrect names. E.g. ahipa was changed to achier and Pachyrhizus ahipa - Fabales to Pachyrhizus hip - Fables. It looks like the (mostly Spanish) common names and latin scientific names were put through an automatic spelling correction, with very strange results.
- This material doesn't really belong in an article on terraces. On the other hand, having an article on Incan crops and agriculture is a great idea

The following doesn't really add to this topic.... The Hanging Gardens of Babylon could have been built on an artificial mountain with stepped terraces like those on a ziggurat. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.159.32.66 (talk • contribs • WHOIS) .
- You think so? I found it was quite informative, personally. The idea was that the Hanging Gardens were more related to the concept of natural terrace agriculture than is immediately apparent. Waitak 00:44, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
