Tents For Rent was founded in 1972 by Paul Martin and John Martin (two brothers) in conjunction with an auction company to provide tents for auctions. As the demand for tents grew they began renting tents.

In 1984 Marlin Sensenig, a six-year employee, purchased the company and began to focus on tent rentals more intensely.

The company has grown considerably from their humble beginnings. In 1998 they moved to Ephrata, PA and increased their warehouse space. They have expanded their rental offerings to include party rentals beyond only tents. They now provide tables, chairs, lighting, flooring, power, staging, dance floor, heating and cooling, linens, sound equipment and more. However, they still maintain a strong focus on tent rentals. They provide rentals for weddings, parties, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, church events, car sales, grand openings, celebrations, birthday parties, graduations, fundraisers, natural disaster relief, temporary storage, festivals and more.

They now serve a wide range of clients in Pennsylvania and surrounding states and have provided tents for small backyard parties, State Governors, the Vice President, and even the President of the United States.

Their tent inventory includes tents from 10' marquees up to 80' wide tents which can accommodate thousands of people. They purchase only high-quality, heavy-duty tents and maintain their inventory and inspect it regularly to maintain legendary customer satisfaction.
