[edit] Temnava

"Duty, which give us hope. The one who warns us before our own downfall. It is one of the things, which makes us feel the past. It has it's weight, and that's why it always comes back and repeats."

Temnava is a Slovenian band which plays their own music. Music sounds like a mixture of metal with some medieval music elements. Lyrics are about old slavic and european heathen superstitions, customs, celebrations, Gods, values and philosophy. Temnava means "the other side", to where all the brave warriors are carried by the fairyes after they die. Name Temnava is from Slavic mithology, and it comes from "temen" (the dark one). Band Temnava symbolize the neverending spirit of nature's rebirth and reproduction. For the Blood, Soil and Spirituality.

Band members of Temnava has nothing in common with so called "metal scene" or any other youth movements.

[edit] History

Temnava was founded in summer 2004 by three musicians, having the same interest; to play some band's cover songs and to practise instruments. After few months of playing, the main(ly) idea has become to create some author music in own genre way. One guitar in band seemed to sound just too "empty", so Temnava has invited one more guitar player to join them in their creating. After cca. one year, Temnava had their first live gig in the local club Swenak.
